Los Angeles: Station Fire

Several southern California fire departments, CALFIRE and the U.S. Forest Service are fighting a massive brush fire in Los Angeles County. This fire has injured three to four people, and has killed two Los Angeles County (LACoFD) firefighters. It will take days to get control of this growing fire. As I write this blog, current news reports are saying that this fire has now burned 105,000 acres.

Strength and Conditioning

CrossFit uses a mix of compound weight lifting exercises, bodyweight exercises and conditioning exercises to build functional strength and conditioning.

Various fire and police departments have adopted these exercise program. The United States Navy is using CrossFit to train their Navy Seals.
